How to embed free GIF on Medium?

If you are trying to embed a GIF from GIPHY and having trouble embedding it, don’t worry, I am here to help.

There is an embed option but if entering that link isn’t giving you the expected results, then do the following;

1. Click on the Share option
2. Copy GIF link. You can use any of the options from small, social, original, and MP4. I prefer original for most of my articles

3. Select the embed option as below, paste the link, and hit enter

This should embed your GIF into the article.

I think the reason for the embed option to not work on Medium is possibly a Medium issue and not a GIPHY issue.
